1st Damsel of the year

This is the first Damsel from the pond this year, found another one a few inches away from this one. They've both dried out very nicely and have now flown off to continue there lives.

Exciting times ahead me thinks.

Grand total of 4 for today, gonna get up early tomorrow to try and see one emerging, I can't wait.

I was hoping to make a film of this mornings events, but I couldn't get near enough.

There's been another 4 Damsels this morning, first time for me to see this live, really happy to have captured one emerging, but not from the start.

Shame I didn't manage to capture the head breaking through, I missed that bit on all 4 of them this morning, maybe tomorrow will be another story.
