| | | ID pls for different coloured drone fly type I've been through Eristalis in the Gallery but I can't see anything as stripey as this, or with such a beige thorax, and am a bit stumped where to look next. Any help hugely appreciated - as ever! |

| | | Re: ID pls for different coloured drone fly type Evening Dilly,
I'll go for Syrphus ribesii on account of the largely yellow hind femora.
Take care, Jason |

Nb. It is only females which have the all yellow hind femur; males are identical to S. vitripennis. |

| | | Re: ID pls for different coloured drone fly type Many thanks Jason and Geoff F! It's great to be able to give it a whole label, and to know about the hind femur on the female is really interesting and helpful! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
