Holly Blue

Have had my first garden sighting of this years first brood of Holly Blue butterfly. The garden has also been alive for an hour or so with three Speckled Wood, two Comma, a Brimstone and a Small Tortioseshell all putting through. Hopefully spring is well and truly here at last

Haven't spotted any Holly Blue yet, but had a Brimstone and a Small White so far

Have seen about 3 so far, the first last week. My partner saw 2 in the local park today while I was away.

I've been seeing them for a couple of weeks now. The garden here is "Holly Blue City" mind. There have always been a good population of them here for some reason. Makes up for my complete and utter lack of Small Tortoiseshells!

I normally have plenty of Holly Blue around, having both Holly and Ivy in the garden...but have not seen any so far. Maybe things are running behind this year with the bad weather?
