These were sitting on some nettles down by a pond in woodland at The Lodge in Bedfordshire. Pretty sure they're a Conops sp. but I have no idea how many of those there are or how to distinguish them. I completely messed up the focus on this shot and they then flew off (typical!) Any chance of an id from this rubbish shot? (if you stand on the other side of the room it looks quite nice :P)
