| | | I believe this is an Empid Could someone please confirm (or otherwise). I have not been able to ID this from my reference material but the shape, posture etc suggest Empid.

Certainly is! Barr confusion/closely-related species I'd say Empis tesselata. ( orangish wings, laterally-barred thorax)
