Well #1 is certainly a Bibio species but #2 looks more like Dolichopidae to me ?

Morning Dai,

The first could be... I'm not too sure with these. Do you have one to show the legs, or wings with less glare to assess the black veins?

The second is from the Rhagionidae family, but I'm not too certain which - maybe a Chrysopilus sp., going by wing venation.

No.2 a Chrysopilus. C.cristatus is the common one.
No. 1 a Bibio as mentioned, not sure it's id-able from photos.

Thank you very much for your help. I usually try and take a few shots from different angles but in both cases it was one shat and there they were gone.
