do you know this bee?
Hello,

This bee was numerous in Sandown, IoW today, mostly soaking up the sunshine on a warm bank near a patch of celandines - can anyone suggest which bee it could be?

My guess (only from comparing pictures on the web) is a species of Andrena mining bee. The bushy pale 'moustache' (is there a proper name for that?) and gingery thorax were striking.

I suspect these may well be males of Andrena nitida, but I really can not be 100% sure without microscopic study
