I took the photo quite a while ago now, to give you an idea of its size the grassy stuff in the photo is moss. i found it in my sink - dead! i was praticing taking close up photos at the time and thought it would be a good subject. I have just looked up Ichneumon wasps on google images and i think it is one. It definately had quite large wings and a skinny long body.
I found it in my house in Jersey in the channel islands
