I hope someone can help me with this damselfly found in my garden today. I thought it was only large reds that were out at the moment... but this isn't very red.

Probably newly emerged, and therefore hasn't developed the colour completely.

Afternoon Jane,
Definately a Large Red Damselfly, Pyrrhosoma nymphula. Like Henrya says it's recently emerged ( known as the 'Teneral' state), and as such hasn't coloured-up fully as yet.
