| | | Strange companions I saw this pair on a dead nettle stalk in the field this morning (18th April 2010). They stayed together for several minutes until I accidentally disturbed the spider. It ran off and shortly afterwards the ladybird also moved away into the undergrowth.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?
Are Pisaura mirabilis and Micrapsis 16-punctata recognised as having a symbiotic relationship? |

| | | Re: Strange companions The ladybird is passing on some of it's extensive store of fairy tales to the Nursery Web Spider. Either that or they are just hanging till the pubs open.
