Pair of flies for ID please
A pair of small flies were enjoying the afternoon sunshine on a daffodil leaf. I spotted them at Kirkby Gravel Pits, mid-Lincs, but am not sure what they are. Any suggestions welcomed!

Hi
They are scathophagids. I'm no expert but I think they could be could be Norellia spinipes - note the strongly spined front legs & yellow antennae. (the larvae mine daffodil leaves & pupate at the base of the plant, sometimes damaging the bulbs. ).
