| | | Bees? I disturbed bees when cutting grass this weekend. I live in Middlesbrough, Cleveland. Don't know where they came from but lots low flying and stayed at least two days. Only small and ginger in colour. Two days later I ventured to top of garden where they were and lots of mounds like worm mounds with holes in middle in the soil and grass. Will the bees return to these holes and live there or will they have been overwintering and now be gone? How do I deal with them if they are still living in the mounds/holes? |

| | | Re: Bees? They would be making nests now, best to leave them undisturbed if you can. Is the ginger a bright orangey colour? If so it could be Andrena fulva. Solitary Bees

| | | Re: Bees? Sound like they may be the so called Lawn- mining Bee, Andrena fulva. They do overwinter as adults in the burrows + will lay eggs in them. |
