saw my first 2 spotted ladybird today
i didn't realise how small they were, but then that explains why i've missed them in the past!!!
when do the harlequin ladybirds start to appear?

| | | Re: my first 2 spot Well spotted Graham (pun intended  ). Well you're one up on me as I haven't seen a 2-spot so far this year.
As to harlequins, well they've been around in large numbers for quite a few weeks around Stony Stratford, Bucks. The 7-spot ladybirds are also doing really well this year (in this area anyway) - I've seen hundreds of them and all big and healthy looking too.
