| | | Help? OK, I know this'll sound so dumb, but here we go.
I woke up this morning and went into my bathroom, to find a single wasp sitting atop my toilet roll. I didn't stick around to make polite conversation, as I am horrendously phobic of wasps, to the point where I freeze up around them. Thing is, my bathroom door was open, but none of the windows in my house were. It seemed very docile, but I have no idea how it could have gotten in.
Can anyone offer advice or explanation? I just really hope I don't have a nest. |

I don't actively seek to be stung, but I find wasp stings pretty innocuous. They're little more than a nettle sting, but don't last as long. I find ant bites more painful.

| | Re: Help? Hello, as Jim says, it's probably an awakening Queen...In view of your phobia of wasps, could you get somebody to very carefully capture her in a jar or similar container, with paper or card, (like you catch spiders),....or if she's still quietly sitting on toilet roll it could be gently put into a container even a plastic carrier bag and the top done up to keep her in, and then gently place her outside on some vegetation, 'cos she will need to find herself some drink / food soon. This must be done during the day, otherwise she'll die of cold at night having been indoors, but if you do it daytime, she'll get a feed and adjust to the temp and find herself a suitable sheltered place to spend the night before nightfall...Hope this helps...Posie..
