| | | Spring Shieldbugs 2010 It was nice to see some real shieldbug activity today,I wonder what shieldbug species others have seen so far this spring.
Today I saw several Down shieldbug Sehirus impressus that were out for a stretch,1 Blue Shieldbug Zicronia caerulea on short downland turf, and a 1 Gorse Shieldbug Piezodorus lituratus wandering around again on short turf ,well away from gorse. It's good to see the season starting up again.
Cheers Jason

The Dock bug Coreus marginatus (Named after the plant it is usually found on,it is actually in the family Coreidae,( called squashbugs in America). You will see plenty more of those for certain. But still in the Shieldbugs and Allies.
