Strange bug and loaded bees
Today's discoveries:

T he bug is about 50mm.
The small bee was working hard on the triteleia flowers. IDs please?

The bug is a beetle, a Staphylinid of the Tachyporus genus looks good for T.hypnorum.

The second bee is a female Andrena - looks like clarkella but must be bicolor if

...it's collecting pollen from anything other than Salix!
