orange insect

Heya all unfortunately not been on much recently. Saw an interesting insect in the garden today while i was digging, wasn't able to take a picture of it cos all my cameras were dead :/ lol but I shall try my best to describe it:

It was bright orange and looked a bit like millipede/centipeade, was roughly 50mm long and only a couple mm wide and had lots of legs along the length of its body. Hopefully that is detailed enough for a rough ID . Never seen one before, it looked quite odd

Look up geophyllid centipedes - there are lots of species, and seem to match your description. By the way, they're not insects - they have six legs!

Ah ha yes they look about the same as my creepy crawly friend .

Invertebrate it is then lol, Ive never been too good with the bug world but ive learnt too things about them today
