Found this tiny bug this morning on my car- thought it was a "normal" small plant bug but think it might be a lacebug - about 2.8mm body length. Not spotted anything quite like it before

Possibly answering my own question but looking at the UKbugs site- it is a lacebug possibly Physatocheila species. First one I've ever spotted

Yep, Physatocheila it is. Shame we can't ID the species from these views, but such is life. Still a nice find! |

I did try for a slightly higher dorsal view but the shots were rather ruined by glare from the metallic paint finish (a problem with bugs on the car)

Nice shots Brian, it is almost certainly P. dumetorum as the other two species are very rare. |
