Ladybirds
We had a plague of ladybirds (especially on the coast) in norfolk last summer,they still seem to turn up,dead/half dead here in norwich.are we in for another invasion this year!!?

Most of those were 7-spot Ladybirds. This is a native, resident species, so you should see some. As for numbers, well I don't have my crystal ball with me, but probably not so many. It was good to see so many of these about last year.

If you're a gardener/farmer they are good news for controlling aphids.

Speaking of 7-spot ladybirds.............

Have counted over 500 in my conifer/Ivy hedge in one count, a week ago that I could see. Great for the gardeners etc around as aeshna5 mentions. Hopefully not so many harlequins this year..................
