Can anybody help i saw a beetle yesterday near conifer trees it was marked just like a larch ladybird but was much bigger it was approx 4cm in length. any ideas please

| | | Re: Beetle Thanks for coming back to me. I was a bit surprised by the size, It was a light brown with black stripe on each side. I live on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk near Beccles. The area i spotted it was near conifer trees.

I think we will need a clear drawing, also the possibility that it is an abberation of a common species. It extremely hard to ID insect from descriptions, its hard enough from photo's in a lot of cases. |
