Long-winged wasp

Stony Stratford, Bucks. On fence beneath mixed broadleaf trees (leafless of course) by large pond.

There were several of these along the fence this afternoon. Help with identification appreciated:

Assuming it has a wasp waist, which isn't visible here, it does resemble one of the Pimpla species. But I'm afraid we are getting into specialist territory now, which is way too advanced for me.

Well I do have one very poor quality side-on pic that may help. It's not the same individual but as I mentioned, there were quite a few of them around today and I'm pretty sure that they were all the same species.
