two different woodlice

The first one is very shiny; the second nearly 2 cms long - biggest I've seen.
I think the second is a porcello scaber?

The first one is Philoscia muscorum, and the second, as you say, Porcellio scaber. Two of the "big Five" of common species.

Hi Hedera...

Not really sure how old individual species can reach. But it's believed that some woodlice can live for an average of 2-3yrs, most of our woodlice reach sexual maturity within a year.

Philoscia muscorum can grow to around 11mm, while Porcellio scaber can grow up to 17mm. Your specimen could be at its max size?...hope this helps.
