Here's four more sightings. I haven't been able to identify two of them and I am a bit doubtful about one anyway. See what you think.

in roughly the same place as the first one I sent. Radipole Lake RSPB site Weymouth Dorset. About 600 meters to the west of the car park.

Desi | The first two are one of the Eurithia species, most likely E.anthophila but they would need a quick check under the microscope for a definate ID. The second two are Tachina fera. Thank you for the record details. |

Here are three more
1 Tachina Fera and 2 Possibly-Eurithia anthophila as you suggested last time.
All taken at near enough the same place as last time too Radipole Lake RSPB site Weymouth Dorset. About 600 meters to the west of the car park.
This one was taken on the 11th Sept
and the following Two on the 15th Sept.
There were three more of the possible-Eurithia on the 15th as well but I didn't manage to get them.

Thanks for the pictures - the Eurithia species probably are E.anthophila, but for the purposes of a record they would have to go down as "Eurithia sp." as you do need a look at a specimen.
The picture you have named as Tachina fera is some sort of Muscid, not a Tachinid. |
