Psyllid, Cacaopsylla melanoneura?

Hi all,

This landed on the side of my pond on 28th January 2010. It was a rare occasion where I could get out with the camera this winter!

I know they can be difficult to separate species, but this does look very much like Cacaopsylla melanoneura. Size fits, as it was barely above 3mm long but I guess a lot of them fit that size.

Hi Janet,
Yes, it does look like melanoneura/affinis, but they can't really be separated without dissection. C. melanoneura is probably the most abundant psyllid, though, at least in winter, so you're probably right on statistical grounds!
