Hoverfly identification course

Hi Folks

Stuart Ball and I run training courses on hoverfly identification for local trusts etc. We've been doing this for years and have refined it to a reasonable standard with a defined programme and teaching aids. This year we are doing one for Glasgow Nats and also one at Cardiff Museum in April. There may be vacancies at Cardiff, so let me know if you are interested (roger dot morris at dsl dot pipex dot com) and I'll put you in contact with the organisers.

On a broader front, we would be more than happy to run courses for wildlife trusts and local groups - we simply charge the T&S costs if a great distance from the Peterborough area. We won't do groups bigger than 12 because that is the biggest we can practically cope with. What you need is a venue and microscopes. Ideally a powerpoint projector but we can probably find a solution to that one. It is down to the organisers to advertise and charge as appropriate.

Ideally, we would like to run courses in areas where there are gaps in national coverage, but our overall aim is to get more people interested.
