| | | Orthoptera Just a pointer. My recent interest in Orthopteran delights has taken another twist. I have recently nipped into a pet shop and had a mooch and found myself taking home a couple of tubs of Desert Locusts for further study. These are sold as pet food for Lizards and what not and after doing some research thought why not give a few a longer life and learn a bit about Orthopteran anatomy. A few aeriated tubs and plastic vivariums and away you go. Just had my first one mould into an adult and what an impressive beast. Anyone interested in this area should consider this as it does fine tune the knowledge and I think builds up a nice appreciation of the order in general. I have recently added a few photo's at my site which I would gladly appreciate feedback on with the Locust shots in the Nature Gallery and at a new section called Orthoptera Extras. Go on have a mooch. Usual place at Fungalpunk Home Page or you can click on my name at the top of this thread.
