Booklice hiding from cold?

I've been tackling my booklice problem since before Christmas. It's been just over a week since I saw the last one (and I hope that's the last). But I was wondering if they have just gone into hiding because it's only since the snow has arrived, they have disappeared. I'm still cleaning and being careful but I don't know if it's me getting rid of them or they are hiding from the cold. Or maybe both? Or maybe because the heating has been on more than before?

I believe one way to get rid of them is to put your book(or other infected item) in a plastic bag in the freezer... so maybe it is the cold weather. Hope it is. They are horrid to have in the house and take ages to go.
