Hi everyone, I`m just wondering if these 2 are the same species, just different colour variations, any help much appreciated

Afternoon Pam,
The first I'm not too sure about. Did it have that orange border around the bottom of the slug, called the ' foot'? If not I'm not too sure. It looks too dark and uniform in colour for A. hortensis agg. Can you remember how long it was?
The seond looks very much like Arion ater's red form.

Hi Jason, they are my daughters photos, I`l have a look & see if I can find another that shows the foot, I`ll get back to you when I`ve had a look for them. Thanks for looking
