Hi,
These were living under a plant tray, two beetles I think so I'm not sure if they are the same one as I had two trays and just managed to get a pic before they fled! Two different days but two on the same day, I think they were different ones and one at least appears to be in reproductive state.

Yes this is indeed Pterostichus madidus f.concinnus, the rounded hind edge of the pronotum is very distinctive in this species. |

Thanks Dogg, nice to have this form too with pretty red legs! 
I think I have found the other one I have which looks to fit Pterostichus oblongopunctatus, about to load that one up. |
