Any Winter Bumbles?
I'm going to be on the lookout for Winter Bumbles again this year for BWARS 2009/2010 Winter Campaign. If you see any over the next few months (maybe on winter flowering plants) I know they would love to hear about them.

Seen quite a few around here Jane. No less than a dozen on Saturday despite the freezing temperatures, and 5 yesterday. All at flowers of Mahonia where they are nectaring merrily away, and some are collecting pollen.

BWARS has put up its first set of interim results this weekend, and so a quick peep might be worthwhile!

My Mahonia's not in flower yet... so will have to hunt for a local one in flower.

I notice there's quite a wide distribution of sightings already on the interim map.
