Millipede in unusually exposed location

Stony Stratford, Bucks (10th December).

I don't know how this millipede got there but he/she was on top of a very exposed buttress to a tunnel under the A5. There is nowhere for it to hide in any direction and it was clearly in a hurry to find somewhere more comfortable. You can see from the pic that it was really moving at speed - kinda gives new meaning to the term 'at full stretch' .

I thought about moving it but then I didn't know where to - so I left it to find it's own way.

Thanks for the id Toby....and yes, for once 'getting it all in focus' wasn't the impossible challenge it usually is .
