It looks like Zygina angusta as the red markings seem to follow the lines on the wings as opposed to sometimes zig-zaging across them as in flammigera - though I'm sure there's a more technical answer!

| | | Re: Leaf hopper ID Based on the hind tarsal/tibial ratio, I'd say likely Z. ordinaria instead (hard to be sure, because the tarsus may be slightly foreshortened). It's certainly one of the two, though, and dissection is the way to be certain with these. |

Got another shot of a similar but more heavily marked leaf hopper yesterday. Not sure if this is the same species or not.

| | | Re: Leaf hopper ID That's Z. flammigera, Brian - the clear clavus, and what is at least trying to be an entirely brown scutellum (and admittedly failing in this case) are enough to be pretty sure. It does etnd to have these nice clear zig-zag bands. |
