| | | Bed bug? I've found a few bugs very similar to a 'narrow' bed bug except the hard back seems to be split vertically from the head like a beetle and doesn't have the 'stripes' across the body like most pictures of bed bugs.
I think we do have problem with bed bugs as some of us are getting bitten but the only bugs I've found are in the bedroom of someone not being bitten, the living room and the study.
The only evidence in the bedrooms of those being bitten is the small blood marks on the sheets. |

I'm not too sure which insect you have there. Do you have a photo of it at all? Failing that, a drawing would be good. Upload it to the Image Archive, please.
Take care, Jason |

No wonder you are sleeplesss, if you have bedbugs. However, I always believed they were usually unseen, coming out at night to feed and then disappearing into crevices and cracks (behind flaking wallpaper and suchlike) during daylight hours.
Small bloodmarks, tiny pin head size spots, made me think immediately of fleas. The faeces of fleas when dampened look like blood spots...but then flea bites would itch.
As Jason says, we need more to go on. (Btw, have you recently moved house?)

| | | Re: Bed bug? If you can't quickly provide a photo, collect a few and put them into a plastic baggie and send to your local authorities Pest Control department. They will ID them and give you advice on how to get rid of them.

| | | Re: Bed bug? Aren't flea bites usually around ankles. The bites we have are on ankles, knees, above waist, arms. We don't have any pets, are there other ways of getting fleas?
We haven't moved house but we do travel a lot and were wondering if something has hitched a ride home??
