| | | kids taught to respect inverts Telling kids to be nice to insects and worms etc is to be put on the national curriculum (although its optional from what I gather). Can only be good news, although the first things kids are told by me on environmental education sessions (after their own safety instructions) is be careful not to hurt the animals on pond dips/minibeast hunts, as I imagine all environmental education staff do! And all most all kids do anyway, but some have the its got more then 4 legs kill it attitude, usually from parents but I suspect some from teachers as well Children taught not to stamp on insects and to respect worms - Telegraph
An interesting side note of this article is my local MP, Mr Andrew "Jump on the bandwagon" Rosindell seems lukewarm on the suggestion but thats not really a surprise with his history | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
