| | Devil's Coach-horse house call Hi,
firstly - apologies - know nothing about insects. Hence the question... please bear with me if it's a stupid one.
I just found a long, black, segmented insect in the living room, which, going by pictures I can find on google, looks suspiciously like a Devil's Coach-horse beetle.
If it is, is this something I should be worried about? And I mean in terms of house is 1930s build, there's a lot of original wood, and voids under the floors. I DON'T mean should I be worried that it's a harbinger of death, a Reaper, or anything like that... as interesting as those fables are!
Is there likely to be more of them which I just haven't seen? Do they nest/infest? Are they harmful?
Thank you so much for your help!
