| | | Fruit Flies We've had lots of tiny flies everywhere around the house lately. I've just checked out the fruit and veg cupboard, and low and behold, a bag of onions, buried underneath all the spuds etc. They must have been there since shortly before the first world war! There were flies all over the bag. Hopefully we've seen the back of them now. Any ideas what these little critters are? Thanks. |

| | | Re: Fruit Flies Hi Wizzo, i had a bag of potatoes one of which went rotton, i noticed a lot of little flies around and traced them to the bag eventually, they must have a super sense of smell to find their way to rotton fruit and veg, and once they do, there is a population explosion, the ones i had were like a very small beetle rather than a fly, i should know the name of them but just cannot think what it is for the moment. Will update thread if i remember.
