Tiny globular springtail
beginning to find some of my favourite winter bugs around now- globular springtails.
One below just less than 1mm body length.
Possibly Deuterosminthurus pallipes but not certain

Hi Brian

This could be a difficult one. I'm also finding a few new springtails now, not this one though.

I found one which is similar but couldn't find a pic on Steve Hopkins site. Look at Sminthurinus bimaculatus:

Now this..

Sminthurinus bimaculatus in UK and Ireland

You will find the British list at the bottom here...
