I'm appalled with how little I know of Ladybirds, all I can put it down too, is that I don't come across that many.

Each and every species has four or five pages with their distribution map, colour pictures of imagines, larvae and pupae of the larger ladybirds - just imagines of the less common, smaller species - with some of the more common pattern variants. There's no key but salient points for recognistion along with sommary of ecological and behvioural features. There are also sections on predators, pathogens and parasitoids as well as the history of the invasion by Harmonia axyridis. A comprehensive and up-to-date survey of British ladybirds ... |
