| | | Barkfly again. Smallish one this, about 3mm including wings. Haven't be able to ID from the NBRS key even though the wing veins are fairly clear.
Can't say what it's host plant may be as it was on a cast iron tub (unless iron is its host  )

Oh, where was I? Ah yes... the size and wing venation look good for a young ( ...due to pale colour  ) male ( ...it's the girl who has the pretty wings) Elipsocus abdominalis. I found a dead one recently that I subsequently mounted.
Yes, E. abdominalis - probably

Thanks for the suggestions chaps. As it happens those were the two I couldn't decide between.
Much as I might prefer it to be the less common Elipsocus I have to admit that there's a picture of Valenzuela burmeisteri on the NBRS site (by some bloke called Joe Botting  ) that is a dead ringer for mine.
