Do harlequin ladybirds come in black and white too? If not, what did I see?

Recently emerged individuals of some of the yellow-black ladybirds have a white colouration for a few hours/days, especially Propylea quattuordecimpunctata (14-spot ladybird). Pretty unlikely to see them at this time of year.
More likely, perhaps, is Sehirus bicolor, the pied shieldbug?
