Exclamation Slide mounting: Tips, and your thoughts...
Hi all,

I found this left behind in a dried-up body of water. It's a 4mm-long mosquito pupa. My question is, how does it look mounted - have I done OK?

Any comments appreciated! This is about the first one I've done, so if anyone have any tips they'd be appreciated too!

I always soak insect parts in 10% NaOH or KOH for up to 12 hours and then neutralise in glacial acetic acid before slide mounting.This enables more internal detail to be seen. What mountant did you use?
