Butterflies
I have just been out to the recycle bin and on a very sunny ivy bush which is in flower, I spotted 2 Comas, 2 bright and beautiful Painted Ladies and 5 Red Admirals...those are the butterflies I could see! Chuffed! AND loads and loads of honey bees and other wasps and bees. Fantastic!

Ivy is greatly under-rated as a plant for wildlife - apart from providing food in various ways it provides shelter year-round for numerous invertebrates. Glad you're having a good day for sightings, I'll go and have a look myself!
