What is this insect ?
I took this photo a while back and I'm sure I know the name but I just can't remember,so please can someone let me know,thanks.Barbara.

Dark tips to the wing cases (elytra) so it's family Cantharidae Rhagonycha fulva.

Yes I agree Janetyou may know it Barbara,as one of the Soldier Beetles.
