| | | Can anyone help??? Hi all, i've just joined the site to see if anyone can help me tell what spider my 6 year old daughter found on her trampoline yesterday? It looked similar to the common garden spider, however it was slightly larger and had a smooth and hard shelled back, not hairy in any way. I do have a photo, which i will try to upload to help you out, if you need it. Thanks in advance, Leeann x . |

A photo is the best way as there are many spiders, we have spider experts here too and a dedicated spider forum.

| | | Re: Can anyone help??? If you go to the 'Images' link at the top right side of the bar on the very top, there is a link to 'upload photos'. Choose the category most suitable, eg. unidentified invertebrates, then use the tab at the side of each box to upload up to 10 pics from your photo files.
Should mention to link to them on a post, you can use the 'Library image' icon at the bottom right, a single click will put the link to the pic here and you can preview. Make sure you have your flashing indicator in the right place below your typing first.

The system of uploading photos here can seem a bit complicated and we all struggled at first until we got the hang of things.
You may get better answers to your question if you place it in the Spider Forum, where the real spider experts lurk.
At first thoughts, a hard backed non hairy spider does sound a bit like a harvestman, but a photo should give a better indication of what it might be. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
