Shieldbug nymph ID

Hi,

Found this today on a nettle, I think its either Troilus luridus or Zicrona caerule (leaning towards T. luridus) but I don't know what the telling differences are between early instars of the two.

Do they overwinter as adults, if so isn't this one leaving it a bit late?

I'd say you're right with Troilus luridus... I'll await the experts.

Thanks both,

that's two shieldbugs I've found as nymphs but not yet as adults here. In fact the only adults I've found have been P. rufipes.

It was a very cooperative subject Jason, sat still for its picture to be taken
