| | | Bug ID please Hello,
I've just joined this forum in the hope that someone will be able to tell me what this bug is. I just found it in our garden (in Surrey), and can't find it in any of our insect books. I haven't seen one like it before. I'm afraid you'll have to click on the image to enlarge it as you can't really see it otherwise!
Thanks very much in advance!

| | | Re: Bug ID please Thank you. I feel a bit silly as green shield bugs are so common, but didn't realise a nymph would look like that and didn't know where to start identifying it, so thought it would be easier to ask. I've looked at some pictures of green shield bug nymphs now I know what it is, and of course that's it! I've got some learning to do on bugs and their nymphs! It's all fun though. |

| | | Re: Bug ID please You are welcome I see from your message that you saw this in Surrey. It just so happens that there is very useful book :-The Shieldbugs of Surrey by Roger D.Hawkins .Published by the Surrey Wildlife Trust,it has pictures of both adult and shieldbug nymphs,it would be handy if you develop an interest in shieldbugs.Cheers Jason. |
