| | | ichneumon + Moth? + bee iding
The Small ichneumon ??
Think the big ichneumon maybe Stenichneumon militarius suggested in another ichneumon thread.
The Bee mebbe Anthropora Plunipes
The bug that's a mystery. It's located high up on the bathroom wall, well away from the window. Reminds me of a mealy bug it's roughly 2.3mm.
The Fly/moth I think I've seen before but cannot remember, very tiny.
Lots of help needed then
Col

| | | Re: ichneumon + Moth? + bee iding Evening Colin, #1: An Ichneumon, yes - though it looks pretty average and non-descript to me. Not sure... any other shots that may show up unique features? #2: Looks like S. militarius, agreed. #3: Looks like a pupae #4: A Moth-fly, Psychodidae. Try a Pericoma sp., though with these things even dead specimens under a microscope are problematic due to scales covering the wing venation - a method used to seperate them. #5: When did you take it? A. plumipes, the Hairy-footed Flower Bee is only active around spring time and so unlikely if recent! Not sure, looks worn too.
Take care,

| | | Re: ichneumon + Moth? + bee iding #1 couldn't say which, not enough showing and there's a few look alikes.
#2 Stenichneumon militarius doesn't appear to have the same white marks on the thorax, there's several which look similar.
#3 looks like a carpet beetle larva
#4 a fly in family Psychodidae, could be Ulomyia fuliginosa but don't take that for sure!
#5 the photo is not in this database, but it looks very worn from what I can see. When was it taken?

| | | Re: ichneumon + Moth? + bee iding The bee is really too worn to tell, if I could see the shape of the abdomen it would help but as it is I would hazard a guess at a very, very worn Bombus pascuorum. I checked the wing veination with one of my pics and it seems to match, not sure how others would match up though! |

Thanks again.
