Grasshoppers and Spider

Just took the camera out in the garden for a few minutes, very windy so difficult to get good pictures but a few are not to bad so they are below, the spider is very striking

I dont understand about the red crosses Dogghound, i did have real problems uploading for some reason, even though all were the correct size etc, something about file format not recognised and then later several lines of text saying file not found, but the pictures appeared ok eventually so don't understand why they have vanished now, perhaps you could help explain to me. Thanks for identification by the way of 2 of them.





Worked fine that time so here are the other two that vanished.

Just another question, is there a way of deleting duplicate pictures
so as not to waste server space?

Thanks aeshna5, i guessed one was but the other one with the red tinge to the top of the rear end did make me wonder if it was smoething else.

No idea what type of spider i photographed i suppose?

Don't think i have ever seen anything quite like that one.

I gave the spider ID above! It's the common Garden Orb Spider, Araneus diadematus!
