Question What are these? are they baby centipedes?
found these in damaged potatoes that I dug up from the plot last week. does anyone know what they are?

Morning Thafismom,

Your insect is the Spotted Snake Millipede, Blaniulus guttulatus. They are known to go for potatoes, but it must have been bad already - maybe a fungal attack or result of other invertebrate activity, for your millipede to get in.

thanks for your speedy reply and yes i think the potatoes were damaged first by slugs then these took advantage of the holes.

another mystery solved thanks again.
