Fly for i.d.
This was very difficult to photograph and these are the best I could do. the first photo doesn't really show the colours on the thorax very well. The thorax was almost a metallic bronze with green in it.



I am sure it is quite common, but it is a first for me and I don't have a clue. Could someone i.d. it for me please?

It's the Two-spotted Centurion Soldierfly, Sargus bipunctatus from the Stratiomyiidae family.
